Hi Jeff!!! Wow, what a surprise!!

Man, so much time and so much to tell.

I'm in Arizona for the winter this year, Quartzsite, just east of Blythe, CA on I-10. Working at a local hardware store, people I've known for a long, long time. Long story, medical problems the last few years, basically went broke through all of it because I couldn't work, living at my sisters in Avon, NY last summer. The medical problems are mostly resolved, had a pacemaker implant last April and it's made a world of difference. Decided to come back here for the winter, where I lived and had a business from 1990-2002. Yes, was down in Florida at Delray Beach for 5 years, 2002-2007. Had a sweetheart. Her name was Sally, and she passed away Februrary 2007 of complications due to breast cancer. It's been a couple of tough years, Jeff. "Come on" social security. One year away.

You can write me at desertbilly at gmail dot com

Looking forward to hearing from you. I've got a cell phone but minutes are tight. We could arrange some weekend phone time to your landline sometime. That would be a free call for me.

Enjoyed the NAF flute making project. I have made several so far, but it has just made me want to tinker some more. Since I am retired now at 69, I have the time, but often need the "attitude adjustment" to clean up the garage to start the next project. The first flute was a wood kit, and it looked almost like your prototype. I used the same method of building as you for the other flutes, but used a router table. I have haunted the internet for several months now, looking for answers on how to build a better airway. One site suggested using ceramic inserts. That is on the drawing board for the next project. I went so far as to purchase a plastic flute from Amon Olorin Flutes to see what it took to make a flute with a full range of sound. He has the flutes cast in several pieces, and hand glues them together with about 40 crafting steps.
Right now, I am testing all sorts of transverse flutes, penny type whistles, ocarinas, (see Mountain Ocarinas), quenas, kavals, and even pan flutes.
(http://panfluteshop.com) Sorry, never could play the guitar, but having been a Ham operator, I have a license to kill with electricity, and used that to build computers and tinker with sound. Good luck on the projects.

Yo Jeff, I just wandered in to check out the reverb project....way cool. I also noticed the Epiphone amp....I have it's "big brother" in my assembledge. It's a Rivoli bass amp with 1-15 open back. It's a cool smooth sounding amp that is super light. I dropped the only fully operational, original D-130 I had in my collection in it and now it really cooks. It's no real surf amp but it is cool and unusual. best reverbs, eddie k

Jeff, Your website definitely gets the "Cool-O-Matic" Seal of Approval. Your site is linked on mine, so all the Dyna-sonic fans I connect with can get to yours and hear some nice surf guitar. I'll need some of your help with my site. See ya soon! Love the projects! Don
